But one wise old fox saw through his trick. He stood up and said, “You only want us to lose our tails because you are ashamed of losing yours. If tails were so useless, you wouldn’t try to make us lose ours!”
All the other foxes understood the trick. They laughed and walked away, proudly swishing their beautiful tails. The fox without a tail stood alone, feeling more ashamed than before.

শেয়াল খুব দুঃখিত ও লজ্জিত হল। তিনি ভাবলেন, “সবাই আমাকে নিয়ে হাসবে কারণ আমার লেজ নেই।” তিনি বিব্রত বোধ করতে চান না, তাই তিনি একটি পরিকল্পনা নিয়ে এসেছিল।
