A Stormy Night Paragraph: I observed a large storm at night. It was horrible. There were black clouds in the sky. The wind picked up speed. The noises it produced were high. A lot of movement was coming from the trees that snapped and fell. The heavens were filled with lightning. It appeared to be a fire in the clouds. Then I heard thunder roaring. I was alarmed. It soon began to pour heavily. The water was dripping down. Water flooded the roads. They shut their doors and windows. Everyone remained in their houses. The homes of a few impoverished people were damaged. The wind blew their house roofs away. It was a terrible night. Along with my parents, I was in Kuakata. For two days, the temperature was high. The storm arrived in the afternoon on the third day. The sky grew really dark. Even throughout the day, it appeared to be night. The wind and rain grew greater. People fled to safer places. I grabbed my parent’s hands strongly. I was quite terrified. The storm eventually came to an end. We went outside and observed a lot of trees on the ground. Some houses were damaged. Some cows and goats went missing. Numerous folks lost their homes. Some individuals were harmed. I felt terribly sad for them. I wanted to aid them, but I am too small.
There was danger and terror that stormy night. I will always remember that evening.

রাতে আমি একটা বিরাট ঝড় দেখলাম। ভয়াবহ ছিল। আকাশে কালো মেঘ ছিল। বাতাসের গতি বেড়ে গেল। এর ফলে উৎপন্ন শব্দগুলো ছিল প্রচণ্ড। গাছগুলো ভেঙে পড়ে অনেক নড়াচড়া করছিল। আকাশ বিদ্যুৎ চমকাচ্ছিল। মনে হচ্ছিল মেঘের মধ্যে আগুন জ্বলছে। তারপর বজ্রপাতের গর্জন শুনতে পেলাম। আমি ভীত হয়ে পড়লাম। শীঘ্রই প্রচণ্ড বৃষ্টি শুরু হলো। পানি টপ টপ করে নামছিল। রাস্তাঘাট পানিতে ডুবে গেল। তারা দরজা-জানালা বন্ধ করে দিল। সবাই তাদের ঘরেই রইল। কয়েকজন দরিদ্র মানুষের ঘরবাড়ি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছিল। বাতাসে তাদের বাড়ির ছাদ উড়ে গেল। রাতটা ছিল ভয়াবহ। আমার বাবা-মায়ের সাথে আমিও কুয়াকাটায় ছিলাম। দুই দিন ধরে তাপমাত্রা বেশি ছিল। তৃতীয় দিন বিকেলে ঝড় এসেছিল। আকাশ সত্যিই অন্ধকার হয়ে গিয়েছিল। এমনকি সারা দিন ধরেও রাতের মতো মনে হচ্ছিল। বাতাস এবং বৃষ্টি আরও তীব্র হয়ে উঠল। লোকেরা নিরাপদ স্থানে পালিয়ে গেল। আমি আমার বাবা-মায়ের হাত শক্ত করে ধরেছিলাম। আমি বেশ ভয় পেয়েছিলাম। অবশেষে ঝড় শেষ হয়ে গেল। আমরা বাইরে গিয়ে মাটিতে অনেক গাছ দেখতে পেলাম। কিছু ঘরবাড়ি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে। কিছু গরু-ছাগল নিখোঁজ হয়েছে। অসংখ্য মানুষ তাদের ঘরবাড়ি হারিয়েছে। কিছু মানুষ আহত হয়েছে। তাদের জন্য আমার খুব খারাপ লেগেছে। আমি তাদের সাহায্য করতে চেয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু আমি খুব ছোট।
